Users of airberlinholidays.com can, for the first time, choose their favourite destination for city breaks and vote for it to be Europe’s City of the Year.
airberlin’s online travel portal is showing the 20 European cities you can vote for, those that users searched for most frequently during the past twelve months. airberlin holidays will enter all participants in a prize draw to win a luxury weekend for two in the city of their choice.
Destinations in a total of twelve countries are competing for the title of Europe’s City of the Year. They include southern European cities like Barcelona, Florence, Palma de Mallorca, Rome and Venice, as well as the Scandinavian capitals of Copenhagen, Oslo and Stockholm. Of course, the shortlist would not be complete without classic city break destinations like London, Paris, Vienna and Zurich, not to mention Budapest and Krakow. The list of top destinations also includes four German cities: Berlin, Dresden, Hamburg and Munich.
The result of the vote for Europe’s City of the Year will be announced on airberlinholidays.com on 15th January 2014. The winner of the luxury weekend can look forward to return flights for two with airberlin and three nights in a 5-star city centre hotel.
